Would Jesus teach us to follow Mormon doctrine? |

"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." (Deuteronomy 4:2)
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18-19)
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;..."
(1 Corinthians 15:50)
"Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:34-35)
"For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit." (Isaiah 14:13-15)
"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." (Matthew 22:29-30)
"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."
(1 Corinthians 12:13)"There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Ephesians 4:4-6)"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mighter than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" (Matthew 3:11 - the words of John the Baptist)[NOTE: There is only one baptism that is required; that is the initial baptism of the Holy Spirit that each and every believer in our Lord Christ Jesus receives at the time of his or her salvation. Water baptism, as it was originally intended, was for the Jews as a sign; "For the Jews require a sign..." (1 Corinthians 1:22a). ANY form of baptism, apart from that of the initial baptism of the Holy Spirit, therefore can only be attributed to "the WORKS of man" and hold the very real and very dangerous potential of paying allegiance to "another Jesus".]
"Jesus said unto him, it is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."
(Matthew 4:7)[NOTE: Satan was tempting Yeshua, God the Son; NOT God the Father in the above Scripture...and Satan knew it and "departed".]"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19)
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." (Exodus 20:8-11)
