"WebRings Information" |
 |
I find WebRings to be an interesting way to let people know about your web site. More than likely, you know what a WebRing is. If you do not, allow me to give you a quick description...
WebRings are a way for you to find web sites of interest on the Interent. Similar sites are grouped together in "Rings" and each site within that Ring is linked together by a "NavBar" (navigation bar). With web sites grouped together by a topic they share, this is what allows visitors to find sites of their interest more easily. Each Ring is created and managed by an individual web site owner, called the "RingMaster". RingMasters determine the look and feel of the Ring, specify any special criteria for membership within the Ring, approve and manage member web sites, and encourage other sites to join. The RingMasters develop a type of Interent community based upon the topic of their Ring.
